The Irish band enjoy a major week on the chart, just behind Ed Sheeran, Adele and Olivia Rodrigo.
Whipping Boy’s 1995 album Heartworm has re-entered the Official Irish Albums Chart at a brand new peak position of No.4 this week.
The album also charted back in September, when the classic album was first reissued on double vinyl and double CD. A second (and "possibly final") pressing was shipped out earlier this week, and was met with a phenomenal response.
The reissue on Needle Mythology Records was remastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios in London, and pressed at the Vinyl Factory. It features an extra album of previously rare and unreleased music, as well as new liner notes.

"Whatever about might’ve and could’ve, Heartworm’s power hasn’t dimmed in the intervening years," Pat Carty wrote in his review of the reissue for Hot Press. "It’s all vital, and this welcome reissue – which caught a load of us on the hop by instantly selling out its first vinyl pressing – adds a worthwhile second disc of B-sides, demos, and live tracks, but it’s the brilliant songs on the original record that are the meat of this matter."

Elsewhere on the Official Irish Albums Chart, Ed Sheeran scores a second week at No.1 with =. He's followed by Adele's 30 at No.2, and Olivia Rodrigo's Sour at No.3.
On the Official Irish Singles Chart, meanwhile, 17-year-old singer-songwriter Gayle has risen to No.1 with 'abcdefu', thanks to the track's viral success in recent weeks. It holds off Adele's 'Easy On Me' by less than 10 chart sales.
