Regular readers of these pages will be well aware of my fascination with the effortlessly urbane soul pop of Jessie Ware, but for those who aren’t quite sure what I’m harping on about, a caveat; I’ve listened to everything the Londoner has released at least 30 times so a thoroughly impartial review might be a bit of a stretch. With charging percussion and spirit-lifting lyrics (‘Maybe in our wildest moments, we could be the greatest, we could be the greatest’). ‘Wildest Moments’ is tailor-made for use in the Beeb’s Olympics coverage, which is just swell; it’s about time we had a couple more members in the Jessie Ware fan club.
