Wilco have shared the title track off their upcoming album, Cousin, out 29 September via dBpm Records.
The song, both musically and lyrically, discusses a fight; or rather the refusal to fight with a relative. Frontman Jeff Tweedy expresses anger while grievances are laid on the line-recognising that what we hate in other is what we hate in ourselves.
The album was produced by Welsh artist Cate Le Bon,- the first time Wilco have handed control to a producer outside their immediate circle of collaborators since Sky Blue Sky.
“The amazing thing about Wilco is they can be anything,” Le Bon said. “They're so mercurial, and there’s this thread of authenticity that flows through everything they do, whatever the genre, whatever the feel of the record. There aren’t many bands who are able to, this deep into a successful career, successfully change things up.”

The iconic indie band recently played a show at Dublin’s 3Olympia.
“When it's done by a band dripping in this much talent, guitar band music is hard to beat,” said Hot Press’ Jess Murray. “Wilco are right up there with one of the best concerts of the year. Here's hoping they make Ireland a yearly visit on their tour circuit.” Read the full report by following this link.
