Hayden Thorpe's upcoming solo album, Diviner, arrives on May 24.
Hayden Thorpe, the former frontman of English indie-rock band Wild Beasts, has announced his debut solo album, Diviner, set to be released on May 24.
The upcoming album will arrive just over a year after the release of Wild Beasts' final record, Last Night All My Dreams Came True, which was described by Hot Press's Sam Steiger as a "a powerful swan song". The band announced that they were splitting up in September 2017.
In a Facebook post announcing the upcoming album, Thorpe describes Diviner as "a collection of torch songs about intuition, belief and mysticism." He also stated that he "will be playing some special shows, in a rather unconventional format for competition winners. More on that to follow".
Thorpe shared the title track from Diviner back in February, and has now released the music video for 'Love Crimes'. He claims that the video, directed by Alexandra Liveris, was shot "in response to a vision [he] received from a psychic." Watch below:
