Hardware store Woodies have recruited upcoming Dublin four-piece Wild Youth to cover Foo Fighters classic 'My Hero'. The release is to raise money for organisations Make a Wish, Jack and Jill, Down Syndrome Ireland, as well as Temple Street Hospital.
The single is out today and can be listened to in the video below. The promo sees Wild Youth and a 50 piece choir record the track at Westland Studios. They were joined by youngsters Cathy May Foote (9) and Lorna Dolan (11) from Down Syndrome Ireland, who were beyond excited to take part and meet their heroes.
“Temple Street, Down Syndrome Ireland, Make-A-Wish and Jack and Jill are four amazing charities, doing unbelievable work for children in Ireland. They deserve as much help as we can give them, so we were delighted when the Woodies Choir asked us to get involved. We had a great day, there was some serious talent in the group. Dig deep and support this great cause," said Conor O’Donoghue of Wild Youth.
