Last year the band also released a 50th anniversary edition of their album, Band on the Run.
Wings’ 1975 album Venus and Mars is set for a 50th anniversary re-release – available on vinyl March 21.
The commemorative record also contains a recreation of the original “Venus and Mars are alright tonight” sticker, the “comparative sizes of sun and planets” bookmark sticker and two posters. The vinyl was cut at half speed using a transfer from the original 1975 tapes. For the first time, the album will also be available in Dolby Atmos through streaming platforms, recently mixed by Giles Martin and Steve Orchard.
Wings began recording Venus and Mars in November of 1974. The band had gone through recent changes, with Denny Seiwell and Irish musician Henry McCullough leaving the group after releasing Band on the Run. Guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and drummer Geoff Britton joined Linda McCartney, Paul McCartney and Denny Laine in recording the album, before Britton left and Joe English stepped in.
Venus and Mars hit Number One on the charts in the UK and US, selling over 4 million copies across the globe. The album was remastered in 2014.

Last June, Wings released the film Paul McCartney and Wings: One Hand Clapping, with an accompanying live-in-studio album. The film includes restored archival footage of McCartney in 1974.
