Headlining Whelan's in November, Will Butler teams up with the band Sister Squares on their single 'Willows' and for their upcoming European tour
The American multi-instrumentalist Will Butler and the band Sister Squares are making their way to Ireland to play at Whelan's in Dublin on November 18th. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
Previously of Arcade Fire, Butler struck out on his own with the releases of 'A Stranger's House' and 'Nearer To Thee.' Since, he's also gained full-time collaborators in the band Sister Squares.
Made up of Sara Dobbs, Julie Shore, Jenny Shore, and Miles Francis, the New York band has been touring with Butler since 2015 - only now, they're not just his backing band but full-time members of the line-up.
The upcoming Whelan's show with them is a part of their European tour following their rocking debut single, the phantasmic 'Willows.'

"There’s something eternally hopeful about the sound of voices singing in a room together."
Butler's first work in almost a year, it's a ghostly piece with an insane, consuming chorus. It's co-produced with Miles Francis.
“'Humans singing together in a room’ is probably the prime philosophical building block of this band," he says.
Butler, explaining the new single, elaborates that "'Willows' is about leaving the past in the past."
“Nostalgia is sweet, but it's a poison. The scene of the song is someone driving off into the wilderness to meet an old woman—one of the Fates, like in a folk tale. And maybe he wants to be young again, or wants things back the way they used to be. And she says: 'Anything can happen, for a price.'”
Tickets for Will Butler & Sister Squares go on sale starting at €27.90 on Friday, March 31st at 10AM, here:
