Danny McNamara croons another wide-eyed love song that as is melodramatic and predictably poignant as you’d expect from the quintet. ‘Wonder’ is a passable return, commemorating the resilience of the human spirit with the affirmation that “everyone will have their day”.

While Embrace’s comeback tune fares far

better than this fortnight’s painful Charlatans and Travis offerings, it is still stuck in that annoyingly insipid cul de sac that most English guitar music can’t seem to get out of.
