Following the release of his debut album, the rising UK rocker is making his way through Dublin, Limerick and Galway in April 2023.
Wunderhorse – aka Jacob Slater – has had a record worthy year, and he’s only getting started. The English singer-songwriter is heading out on his biggest headline tour yet next year, making his way from the UK to Ireland in mid-April with three back-to-back dates.
Still glimmering from the glowing review of his recently released debut album Cub, Wunderhorse just announced shows in Dublin, Limerick and Galway from April 14-16. Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday, October 28, with special pre-sale access available to the artist’s mailing list recipients.
The artist brings his debut sound to Dublin’s Workman’s Club on April 14, followed by a show at Kasbah @ Dolan’s in Limerick and finishing up on April 16 at Roísín Dubh, Galway.
Cub is out now via Communion Records and has since received rave worthy acclaim, including a Hot Press review which described the artist’s debut as, “a testament to the unique language of songwriting and the therapeutic reverberations of rage-fueled Rock.”
Just this year, Wunderhorse performed with Sam Fender and Foals, on top of opening for Fontaines D.C. throughout their US and Europe tour. He attracted quite the Irish crowd at Fontaines’ Iveagh Gardens shows this summer. The frontman also dove into the acting world, playing Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook in Danny Boyle’s PISTOL series on Disney+.
Cub explores the artist’s range of sound, at times rage-fueled, at others dreamy and nostalgic. The recent album single ‘Girl Behind The Glass’ is accompanied by a new live session video, which sees the singer strip down the melancholic, narrative track.

After the inevitable 2017 dismantling of Slater’s previous punk ensemble Dead Pretties, the singer-songwriter sought out the coastal countryside to focus on his more lackadaisical passions: songwriting and surfing. After a period of introspection, Slater emerged with a dense catalogue of new music material, the result of which is now surfacing.
Tickets for Wunderhorse’s Spring Irish tour dates go on sale next Friday, October 28 from 9am here. Check out the live session for album single ‘Girl Behind The Glass’ below, and listen to Cub now on all streaming platforms.
