Tickets for Wunderhorse’s biggest Irish headline to date will be available from Friday 25th May.
British rock outfit Wunderhorse have announced their biggest headline show to date at Dublin’s Vicar Street on 16th October 2024.
The news comes just after the announcement of the band’s upcoming album, Midas, which is set to hit streaming platforms on 30th August via Communion. A follow-up to their 2022 debut Cub, the new LP was produced by Craig Silvey and recorded at Minnesota’s Pachyderm Studio. The album uses an unpolished recording process to capture the guttural energy of the band’s live shows.
“When we first went into the studio to make this record, the only thing we were sure about is how we wanted it to sound; very imperfect, very live, very raw; no frills,” Frontman Jacob Slater said of the new album. “We wanted it to sound like your face is pressed up against the amplifiers, like you've been locked inside the bass drum.
In the 18 months since the release of their freshman album, Wunderhorse have grown into a tightly-knit team, evolving from a one-man operation into a fully-formed band that consists of Slater, Harry Fowler, Jamie Staples and Peter Woodin.
