'Multi-Love' once again showcases Wyvern Lingo's ability to put their own unique spin on any song.
Indie-folk trio Wyvern Lingo have dropped their stunning, stripped-down and soulful cover of 'Multi-Love' - originally recorded and released by Unknown Mortal Orchestra in 2015.
The New Zealand psychedelic rock band was formed in Auckland in 2010. Unknown Mortal Orchestra is primarily composed of singer, guitarist, and songwriter Ruban Nielson, and bassist Jake Portrait, with the band's first album released in 2011. Four studio albums have been released on Jagjaguwar since then, the most recent being IC-01 Hanoi (2018).
Fresh from a successful Acoustic Picnic tour of Germany, Irish trio Wyvern Lingo recently shared new single 'Just A Girl' featuring Loah. They have since returned with 'Multi-Love', utilising their trademark, spine-tingling harmonies and emotive vocal intonations.
The Wicklow outfit shared their sophomore album earlier this year, titled Awake You Lie. The project arrives almost three years to the day after the release of their Choice Music Prize-nominated debut album. As well as evoking celestial imagery, the LP found Caoimhe Barry, Karen Cowley and Saoirse Duane tapping into the common millennial concerns of restlessness, insecurity and uncertainty.
