In its sixth year, Tradition Now will host some of the top Irish musicians keeping the spirit of traditional music alive.
National Concert Hall and The Arts Council have announced Tradition Now's 2020 concert series. The two-day concert marathon will showcase music from the best of Irish and international traditional artists, virtually live-streamed on October 24 and 25.
This is Tradition Now's sixth year of putting together this music spectacular. A varying array of artists will perform a relay of forty-minute sets. Saturday will kick off the marathon with music from Choice Music Prize nominees Ye Vagabonds, with their acclaimed Irish folk songs.
DJ, radio presenter and filmmaker Donal Dineen will speak with the artists during the stream to give viewers a behind-the-scenes experience with the performing bands. Fans will be able to live stream Tradition Now for one week after the kickoff on Saturday at 6pm (Irish time).
