The effervescent trio were the energy pills you needed to see you through Saturday night at EP.
At EP it's a given that you will spend a lot of your time rushing around to catch as many acts as possible. But sometimes to stumble across the goods, all you have to do is follow the crowd - that is exactly how your reviewer came across the dazzling performance of Years & Years.
Coming towards the end of EP Saturday, the stamina can be running low, that's why Years & Years at midnight was just the tonic you needed to recharge those batteries for the rest of the night.
The English band proved in 2015 that they had what it takes to draw the crowds with their exuberant live performance and debut album Communion becoming a permanent resident of the UK top 20.
Last night, they seemed determined to continue this popularity streak packing the Electric Tent. It was a dazzling explosion of strobe lights, vibrating synth and a sea of adoring fans.
Bringing their usual perfusion of fun and bounce, the band had the entire tent dancing within seconds.

'I think I'm into you' showcased Olly Fitzgerald's amazing vintage Michael Jacksonesque vocals, replete with swanky dance moves echoing 'Bad' and 'Uptown Funk'.
Next came 'Desire' - a dance anthem that is well up there with the best of the genre. Finally, they brought their revitalising set to an end with crowd favourite 'King', leaving a now rejuvenated crowd ready to tackle the final acts of Saturday night.
Not to be missed if the juice was running low.
