The award will be presented during the Folk in Fusion concert on January 14 in the INEC, Killarney, Co. Kerry, which will launch the week long conference.
Irish folk conference Your Roots Are Showing will be honour veteran country musician Peter Rowan with the organisation's inaugural Lifetime Achievement in Music Award.
The award will be presented at the opening concert, Folk in Fusion which will kick off the conference taking place from January 15-19 2025.
Peter Rowan will perform as well as be recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award.
The Grammy Award winner and six-time nominee, will be recognised for his five decades long career and his profound impact on the folk and bluegrass genres.
The Folk in Fusion concert will see performances from Rhiannon Giddens, Liam Ó Maonlaí and Ron Block, as well as the prize giving.

Giddens, also a Grammy award winning musician, will deliver the conference's keynote speech.
The conference will also feature a lineup of live Official Showcases, platforming both emerging talents and seasoned professionals. There will also be Trade and Gig Fairs, at the heart of the conference, where industry influencers gather for networking, collaboration, and career opportunities.
Panel discussion and workshops will also make up part of the Your Roots are Showing event, as well as the highly anticipated music Trail, which will run Killarney town into a stage for spontaneous performances.
