Whatever approach The Cardigans take on each album, it is always backed up by simple but strong songwriting and this is a no exception. It is a gorgeous love song, with an eerie echoey vocal on the chorus that upgrades it to the best of pop and creates a beautiful soundscape to paint subtle metaphors of war in a way that’s almost country. Nina’s vocal is rich, raspy and sexy. If chocolate sang while it melted it would probably sound something like this.
