The Underrated Youth EP follows YUNGBLUD's 2018 album 21st Century Liability.
Yesterday, YUNGBLUD took to Social Media to announce his next EP The Underrated Youth. Following the announcement, he also dropped the music video for the appropriately titled 'hope for the underrated youth'.
The Underrated Youth EP is set to release on October 11 and will feature six songs, one of which is a collaboration with Imagine Dragon's Dan Reynolds.
"I wanted this project to amplify a world consumed with unjustified hate where the common denominator of the people I have met is the constant fight, hope, unity, desire for equality and intelligence embedded inside our heads", the musician explains on Instagram, "I wrote this project about the stories I have heard and the journeys, I myself have been on inside my head. This project is about us. You helped me tell this story. I can't wait for you to hear it."
The themes that YUNGBLUD tackles on his EP are very much part of 'hope for the underrated youth', too. The song deals with teenagers and young adults who want to be heard and understood. The music video underlines this sentiment, picturing a youth that struggles to fight violence and hate with peace.
