The festival plans to return for a second year this August.
The organisers behind Tullamore festival Yurt City have issued a statement following recent updates on social distancing restrictions. Earlier this week, it was announced that all gatherings in Ireland of over 5,000 people will be banned until late August or September, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. However, as Yurt City's organisers noted in a statement on Facebook, the festival "falls well under this cap".
Remarking that the news "has definitely given us a lift today," Yurt City went on to confirm that, "as things stand we are currently still going ahead on August 14th/15th."
"We are busy working on the plans now for this year's event and look forward to sharing more news and artists soon," they continued. "We will be continuing to monitor the situation closely and will be following government guidelines and restrictions but for now, let's stay positive. Roll on August for a magical gathering together."
