Tickets to see Zak Abel at Opium go on sale November 11th at 10am for €20.
British singer-songwriter, Zak Abel, has just announced a show in Dublin's Opium in June, 2023.
Zak Abel first rose to fame with his guest vocal work on Gorgon City’s UK Top 20 hit single ‘Unmissable’.
Penning his own songs since the age of 14, the musician started uploading videos on YouTube, which eventually led to him signing a record deal in 2014 and meeting influential music producer, Joker.
Zak and Joker released a four-track EP in 2015, shortly followed by Zak’s solo project One Hand On The Future, where he collaborated with Tom Misch on 'Beautiful Escape' and Kaytranada on 'Say Sumthin'.
These early collaborations emboldened Zak as a writer, setting him up perfectly for the release of his 2017 debut album, Only When We’re Naked.

Since releasing this album, Abel has channeled his creativity into pop spheres for the first time, significantly increasing his stock as a writer. He has since been asked to pen hit records for the likes of Kygo, Avicii, R3hab & ZAYN, Paloma Faith and John Legend.
Now signed to BMG, the artist has picked back up his own music, which blends soulful vocals with R&B and pop.
The artist has consistently released singles and collaborations across the last three years, with his smokey 2021 release 'Be Kind' making it into AirPlay Charts in various European countries. These new releases have been steadily defining the direction for his upcoming second album.
Alongside music, Zak is an Ambassador for mental health charity CALM and speaks openly about issues surrounding this topic as well as channeling themes of identity and mental struggle into his lyrics.
Tickets for Zak's Opium show on Saturday, June 3, are on sale November 11 at 10am for €20 plus booking fee.
