Leixlip's The Wonderful Barn will play host to a wide range of activities, discussions, demonstrations, food stalls and more this weekend, as part of the Brigid 1500 celebrations
Rising stars Zoe Clarke, Sarah Fitz and Sherena Leanna are set to soundtrack tomorrow's family-friendly Mother Earth festivities at The Wonderful Barn in Leixlip, Co. Kildare – with a series of special pop-up gigs taking place throughout the day. They join a thrilling line-up of music, food, crafts and more at The Wonderful Barn Arena on Saturday, January 27 – which is free for all to access!
With over 32,000 Instagram followers to her name, singer-songwriter Zoe Clarke is fast becoming a serious one-to-watch on the Irish scene. Famed as busker in Dublin – and beyond, thanks to her hugely popular online performance videos – she's also played in some of the city's most renowned venues, including the 3Olympia Theatre, Whelan's and The Academy. She released her latest song, ‘Take Me Away’ , a collaboration with Spanish singer Gon Massey, back in September.
Sarah Fitz meanwhile, has been busking on Dublin's Grafton Street since the age of 16 – gaining serious traction, and building a devoted fanbase, through videos of her own performances online. With a series of festival sets and gigs under her belt already, she's gearing up for a major breakthrough, with the release of more original music in the coming year.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter has since followed up that powerful debut with a string of equally well-received singles, including 'Meet Again', which has clocked up over 130,000 streams.
The Wonderful Barn Arena will also be playing host to some of the country's most popular food trucks and stalls – including Mama Shee, Little Catch and Beanery. Plus, you can look forward to Brigid's Cross-making workshops, basket weaving, circus performers, face-painting, guided tours of The Wonderful Barn – and more!
Free parking is available in Kildare Innovation Campus – with a shuttle bus service running from there to the site throughout the day. The Kildare Innovation Campus carpark is also only a 12-minute walk to The Wonderful Barn, if you want to get your steps in!

The Wonderful Barn events are support by Intel, and are part of the Nothing Compares series – presented by Hot Press and Kildare County Council – which will provide unique and joyful ways to celebrate Irish women creatives. The entire Brigid 1500 programme promises to be a very special celebration of the legend of Brigid – a Pagan goddess and a Christian saint who is symbolic of the power, strength and independence of women in Ireland.
