Favour Odusola shares his thoughts and experiences as part of 100 Voices: #AllAgainstRacism
Favour Odusola,
dancer
Since arriving here over a year ago, I have been subject to racial slurs and even had objects thrown at me, not just from adults, but also kids. My hope is that kids get to be taught that this is wrong. We are all the same – we work hard, study hard, have dreams, pray for a better future, and also fight for our rights. Nothing in there makes us lesser than anyone else. I think what everyone needs to realise is we are all in this life journey together. Racism breeds nothing but hate and ignorance. We all need to look around us and ensure we understand that – irrespective of skin colour or background – we are the same.
