We invited a 100-strong chorus of artists, writers, musicians, broadcasters, sports stars and more to contribute to Now We’re Talking, a mental health campaign, run in partnership with Lyons Tea and Pieta House. Mark Carroll of Rogue Opinions explains how he realised how imperative it is to be open with one another...
I never realised the importance of mental health until a childhood friend of mine took their own life before Christmas last year. Some people, men in particular, have a fear of talking about how they feel. ItÕs so important to be open with others, be it your partner, friends or parents. Never be afraid to randomly ask your friends and family how theyÕre doing. You never know who is suffering, and a small act may save someoneÕs life.
100 Voices was published in the Hot Press Mental Health Special in conjunction with Lyons Tea and Pieta House as part of the Now We're Talking Campaign. For more please visit hotpress.com/now-were-talking/
