Artists in Lockdown: Faye O'Rourke (Soda Blonde) – isolationism
Part of a weekly feature, artists share playlists of their isolation soundtracks. This week: Faye O'Rourke of Soda Blonde.
When we come out the other end of this, we should all remember that the thing we turn to in a troubling time is art. Good art is capable of providing escape, understanding, and a critical perspective when necessary.
Soda Blonde's debut EP, Terrible Hands, has done all of the above for me, at one time or another. It's one of those works that seems to get richer and more complex the more time I spend with it. It has also allowed singer-songwriter Faye O'Rourke to step rather dazzlingly into her much-deserved spotlight.
Listen to Faye's isolation playlist below, and remember how much we owe to great artists. Support them where you can.
