The English musician said that today's election presented "the opportunity to consign the Tories into third place in parliament".
Billy Bragg has taken to social media to urge people to vote tactically in the UK's General Election today.
The 'A New England' musician has said that although it seems like a "forgone conclusion" that Keir Stamer's Labour will win, "something really radical" is on offer.
In an 8 post long thread on X (formerly known as Twitter), the leftist English musician said: "Everyone knows Labour are going to win the election, but if you’re feeling like there’s no point in voting as the outcome is a foregone conclusion, I’d like to draw your attention to something really radical that is on offer tomorrow".

The musician then went on to say: "This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to kick the Tories into third place will only happen if enough people vote tactically to defeat their local Conservative. Such pragmatism could see dozens of ‘Portillo moments’[referring to the surprise defeat of serving Conservative cabinet minister Michael Portillo in 1997] in the early hours of Friday morning".
Bragg then went onto share a link to StoptheTories, a movement aimed at encouraging voters to vote as strategically as possible to topple Rishi Sunak's Tory party, who have held the parliamentary majority since 2010.
Other musicians encouraging people to dislodge the sitting Tory party include Elton John and Blur's Dave Rowntree.
Elton John and his husband David Furnish led a line up celebrities who sent in videos with messages of support to the Labour Party at a meeting held by the party earlier this week in West Minster.
According to the Press Association Elton John said in his message that: "It’s heartbreaking to see the hopes of Britain’s next generation of creative talent downtrodden and destroyed by bureaucracy and red tape.
"The rich cultural exchange and education that informed my early years and paved the way for my career and success is drying up and in danger of dying out completely.

“And it’s not just the musicians, but the whole team that puts together a tour and the wider industry that relies on emerging talent to thrive in the future".
Going a step further to support Labour is former Blur drummer Dave Rowntree, who is running for the party in the Mid Sussex constituency.
According to latest polling data, today's British election is set to be a landslide in favour of the Labour Party, with a 39% show of support.
The reigning Conservative Party instead have a 21% show of support in contrast.
