The Dubliner has turned himself in to New York police after he was captured on video attacking a bus carrying UFC fighters.
McGregor and his crew confronted the bus after a press event in New York. UFC president Dan White described the incident as a "really bad career move" for McGregor.
Here's extended footage of McGregor attacking the coach with a "hand truck" after a media event. The video footage has been spreading like wildfire on social media since the incident last night:
A spokesman for the NYPD confirmed that McGregor had turned himself in but that he'd not been charged. He added that investigations were "ongoing", which means that McGregor could eventually be charged for his antics at a later date.
McGregor turned himself in last night to the 78th Precinct in Brooklyn. He's been wanted for questioning after the incident which happened backstage following a media event.
UFC president Dan White has criticised McGregor over the incident.
He said it was "criminal, disgusting, disposable, makes me sick".
He added, "And we as an organisation need to make sure this never happens again."
He claimed that McGregor was forced to him himself in because the police were "looking for him" and "his plane cannot take off, he cannot leave the state of New York".
He reckons that there'll be a big lawsuit now too.
"You can imagine he'll be sued beyond belief. This was a real bad career move for him," White said.
