The Irish MMA fighter was charged in 2022, but had his hearing delayed
Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has been handed a suspended sentence and a 5-month driving ban.
He pleaded guilty to one account of dangerous driving, and another of careless driving this morning in Blanchardstown district court.
The mixed martial artist was stopped by Gardaí while he was driving a high performance Bentley Continental GT in March of 2022.
He was initially charged with two counts of dangerous driving, having no license, being uninsured, and failing to produce documents within 10 days. One of the counts of dangerous driving was dropped.

Brief procedural hearings took place in April, June and September of the same year where he was given an additional charge of careless driving.
McGregor was previously convicted of speeding in 2017, for which he received a €400 fine, as well as another speeding offence in 2018 which saw him receive a 6-month ban.
McGregor’s court hearing was originally scheduled for December 2023 but was delayed.
