On Wednesday night FRIENDS actress Courteney Cox shared her support for the pro-choice Together for Yes campaign, with her 1.11 million followers
US A-lister Courteney Cox has publicly backed the pro-choice campaign by sharing a link on her twitter feed to an account called Actors For Yes and writing "Repeal the eighth!"
As we prepare to vote in the historic referendum on May 25th, this is the exact kind of last minute boost we need. A number of celebrities and influencers have recently come together making a video called "In Ireland today," and now we have Courteney Cox joining the band wagon.
The video features clips of a number of famous actors, mostly Irish spliced together to say, "In Ireland today, if the woman sitting next you is pregnant, she does not have full rights over her own body."
"In Ireland today, women who find themselves in crisis pregnancies, be it a scared 15-year-old, who's been sexually abused or a terrified woman who's been raped, are forced to carry the pregnancy to term."
The video then highlights women taking abortion pills and a potential jail sentence with no medical support. The video has only been online for three days and already has 150 thousand views and that number is sure to soar now that Ms Cox has shared it on her twitter feed.

On Sunday night, Liam Neeson voiced his support for Yes, in an-op-ed published in the Sunday Independent, writing; "Ireland remains a society where we see women in crisis as a problem, to be exiled overseas instead of cared for with respect and compassion here at home. It's time to end that, It's time to respect women's rights to make decisions that are right for them and their families."
