First National Homeless & Housing March To Take Place On December 1st
The march will follow the success of the raise the roof rally held on October 3rd.
The National Homeless and Housing Coalition have called a national demonstration on the housing crisis to take place on December 1st at 2pm at The Garden Of Remembrance, Parnell Square.
According to the group, "after October 3rd we got a landlord's budget, and an abject failure to act on the Dail motion that called for; radical action on the crisis, accelerated programmed of public housing on public land, additional 1bn euro funding in the budget for housing, an end to evictions, reduction in rents and a referendum to enshrine the right to a home into the constitution".
"Grass roots groups who are campaigning, providing front-line services, and advocating for action on the housing crisis have come together to call for water style demonstrations to put pressure on the government".
For their #raisetheroofrally on October 3rd, 12,000 people gathered on the streets outside Dáil Eireann - nearly half of which were students - to call on the government to take action on the current housing crisis.

Hoping for an even bigger turnout this time around, they are asking people to spread the word about the event by any and every means possible. This can mean calling people, sharing via social media, telling your friends in the pub and school, or even taking your tinder date to the march.
