Build friendships and resilience with Grow Mental Health, facing challenges head on.

The compassionate Irish charity provides free peer-support groups for anyone facing a mental health challenge. Prior to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the group met in community centres, event halls, and classrooms in every corner of the country - with nearly 1,000 people nationwide walking through the doors of more than 100 weekly Grow support meetings. The Grow programme allowed members to share their stories and harness hope. With lockdown putting a swift and sad end to that support, Grow HQ turned virtual.
Grow Online became an unlikely reality during the pandemic and continues to be a success. At its core, Grow helps people to help each other. The charity did this initially by helping one another to get set up online, before support was offered during Covid. Online meetings - just like their in-person groups - promoted connectedness, reduced feelings of isolation, and provided a platform for sharing. Vitally, they offer a space for people who might be too anxious to meet in person and those facing transport or childcare challenges.
