DARK TROPICS
The late Lyndon Stephens, founder of Belfast record label Quiet Arch and Dark Tropics’ first manager, gave the band the early enthusiasm and mentorship to kickstart their career. Vocalist Rio McGuinness-McCay and multi-instrumentalist Gerard Sands unveiled debut album INK last November, following the release of numerous singles throughout 2020 and 2021, with the dark-yet-jazzy ‘Badlands’ as the lead cut. INK was recorded in Attica Studios in Donegal, with the landscape’s cinematic wildness infusing the work.
