Hailing from the border town of Newry and inspired by ’90s fashion, Lauren Ann puts a fresh new spin on the famous, fuzz-laden grunge sound. Currently signed with Dublin label Faction Records, last year the fiendishly talented tunesmith released the stunning, distortion pedal-battering, Weezer-esque single ‘Blatant’ – and she promises plenty more moshpit anthems in 2023. Those of you who have albums by the likes of Veruca Salt and Juliana Hatfield should feel dutybound to check her out.
