Trinity students joined in on what the IPSC called a "global campus uprising for Palestine" on Friday evening, demanding that the College divest from with Israeli institutions and complicit companies, and end it's partnerships with Israeli universities.
It was announced yesterday that the five-day emcampment would come to an end, after higher ups in the university struck a deal with protestors.
"Trinity will complete a divestment from investments in Israeli companies that have activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and appear on the UN blacklist,” said a statement from Trinity's upper management. “Trinity will endeavour to divest from investments in other Israeli companies.”
The statement was welcomed by outgoing SU president László Molnárfi, who said that the events showcased "the power of grassroots student and staff fighting for a just cause."
