Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs posted a video of Hamas set to Irish traditional music.
Israel is accusing Ireland of “rewarding terrorism” after officially announcing that it would recognise the state of Palestine on May 28.
Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs Israel Katz said on X: "Ireland, if your goal was to reward terrorism by declaring support for a Palestinian state, you've achieved it.
"Simon Harris TD, Hamas thanks you for your service."
Katz’s post also includes a 19-second video which opens with a picture of the Irish flag following with a montage of clips he claims to be of Hamas, intercut with videos of Irish dancing while traditional music plays in the background.

Yesterday, Katz recalled Israel’s ambassadors in Ireland and Norway to consult after both countries officially recognised Palestine.
He also said that there would be “severe consequences” as a result of the decision. The Israeli public broadcaster Kann reported yesterday evening that the Israeli government will stop facilitating travel into either Gaza or the West Bank by diplomats from Ireland.
