Prepare to wallow in some quality Nipple Erectors/Pogues/Popes nostalgia!
Having conjured up such wonderful music docs as the Sex Pistols’ The Filth And The Fury, Dr. Feelgood’s Oil City Confidential and Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten, Julien Temple is turning his directorial gaze on Shane MacGowan.
Assisting him in his task is Siobhán McAndrew, a BBC producer and reporter with roots in both Dublin and Mayo.
They’ve put out the call for any interviews (audio/video/print) that the Nipple Erectors/Pogues/Popes man has given down through the years, so get rifling through those archives.
From having part of his earlobe nibbled off in the 100 Club when he was the Union Jack blazer-wearing Shane O'Hooligan to last year's star studded 60th birthday bash in Dublin, his is a story that absolutely has to be told!
As some of you may know from my insta (shiv_mca) I’m working on a film with #julientemple about the legendary #shanemacgowan and I need your help! I’m trying to track down interviews (audio/video/print) that we might not have seen yet...any leads? Please get in touch! Thanks x ☘️ pic.twitter.com/iBK5SAdaE5
