Rolling Stones' guitarist Keith Richards has "pulled the plug" on his heavy drinking.
"I pulled the plug on it. I got fed up with it," he told Rolling Stone magazine.
"It was time to quit. Just like all the other stuff."
Keith Richards says he still enjoys "a glass of wine occasionally, and a beer".
Asked if it was an adjustment, Keith said: "You can call it that, yeah. But I don't notice any difference really - except for I don't drink. I wasn't feeling [right]. I've done it. I didn't want that anymore."

Richards' bandmate Ronnie Woods knocked drinking on the head back in 2010.
Keith Richards had this to say about him: "He's a pleasure to work with.Much more mellow. He's open to more ideas, whereas before I'd kind of grit my teeth and go, 'He's gonna give me some s*** for saying this'. Now, he'll say, 'That's cool, man'."
The Rolling Stones embark on the North American leg of their No Filter tour next April, kicking off in Miami.
Keith said Mick Jagger is their chief setlist architect, but he’s open to suggestions at sound check or in his hotel room.
He said: “He’ll be quite honest — like, ‘We played it here last time,’ or, ‘That doesn’t work here'. Or he may just go, ‘Yeah, that’s a good idea’. You never quite know what to expect, but you always get a good reason.'”
