R&B up-and-comer Lucy McWilliams was joined by some familiar faces on the Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series on Tuesday night. The Y&E Series is generously supported by the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht.
Opening with her debut single 'Fair Play', R&B singer-songwriter Lucy McWilliams was joined by Malaki (who will perform his own Lockdown Session this evening) and producer/collaborator Matthew Harris.
Easing into her set with two astonishing covers – Jorja Smith's 'On My Mind' and Cleo Sol's 'Why Don't You' – she amped up the energy with a stunning unreleased original called 'Circles'. McWilliams showcased her incredible vocal control with another cover, this time of Cory Henry's arrangement of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy'.
Signing off with her latest single, 'RUNAWAY,' McWilliams and co. truly delivered one of the more memorable Lockdown Sessions.
