Presidential candidate Peter Casey declared yesterday to broadcaster Niall Boylan that if he's elected he will offer one of his radio show's listeners a position on his Council of State to be responsible for cyber-bullying.
On Monday afternoon, presidential candidate Peter Casey joined Niall Boylan in studio on his Classic Hits 4FM to talk about why he has decided to continue in the Presidential race.
Prior to his interview, Niall Boylan was speaking to the mother of a young girl who took her own life due to bullying.
Jackie Fox spoke to Niall Boylan about her daughter Nicole (21) who tragically took her own life in January due to bullying.
Jackie is now fighting to get 'Coco’s Law' introduced into law in order to make cyber-bullying a criminal offence in memory of her daughter Nicole.

Jackie spoke to Niall about how she knows her daughter Nicole is “never coming back”, but that she is trying to make sure nobody else has to go through what her family has.
Following Jackie’s heartbreaking interview, Niall Boylan asked Peter if he was elected President would he promise to help Jackie in her fight to make bullying a criminal offense.
Peter said: “One of the things we were doing, Jackie, this morning, I was writing down who I would put on the Council of state because that is the body that can discuss and bring these sort of issues to the fore.”
He went on to say: "An absolute promise, we will put someone on the Council of State, it will be a female and we will talk about it, Jackie; I am absolutely going to put someone on the council of state who is going to be responsible for cyber-bullying and making awareness of cyber-bullying because it is a curse”
After reflection on Jackie’s situation during a break, Peter then told Niall Boylan that, if elected President, he would offer her a position on the council of state to be responsible for cyber-bullying.
“Jackie would be responsible for cyber-bullying; if she is willing to do it I would absolutely offer her a position,” he said.
