Róisín O is an Irish singer-songwriter signed to independent label 3ú Records. The musician unveiled her debut album 'The Secret Life of Blue' in 2012, and has since shared a slew of successful singles. 'Heart + Bones', '2023' and 'Still Gold' mark her most recent releases.
Your Hero of 2021?
Brendan Walsh - my farmer neighbour and good friend from Dingle. He also works for the ESB and brought me food and turf for the fire in the midst of Storm Barra when I was isolating with Covid and he was out in the storm bringing back electricity to the people of the Gaeltacht... he's single ladies.
Villain of 2021?
I know he hasn't been around much but no one really comes close to usurping Donald Trump this year.

Releasing 'Heart + Bones', my first solo single in several years, and getting such an unbelievable reaction from people...

Maid on Netflix, great for a good ole cry.

Orla Gartland's Woman on The Internet is just epic.

Yearbook by Seth Rogan.

Best thing you saw online?
A dog on TikTok called Bunny who can talk to his owners through word buttons and sometimes describes the contents of his dreams.
Your hope for next year?
That my album release and Irish tour in April/May goes ahead without any Covid setbacks!
What tickled your funny bone?
Joanne and Vogue on 'My Therapist Ghosted Me' literally have me rolling around the place every week.
