NEWSFLASH: People to be allowed to travel anywhere within their own county from Monday

It's a precursor to the planned scrapping of all travel limits by the end of June, and the re-opening of B&Bs and hotels

The breaking news is that from next Monday Irish people will be able to travel anywhere within their own county, and cross 20km into neighbouring ones. If this proves a success, all internal travel restrictions could be scrapped by the end of June and hotels and B&Bs allowed to reopen in social distancing mode. We'll keep you updated...

For those asking: the ‘anywhere in your county’ is in addition to the 20km - you will be allowed to cross county lines to travel 20km, as well as travelling anywhere within the county boundary.
