The Cork Palestine Solidarity Campaign have announced a No Art For Apartheid march, in support of artists who defend pro-Palestinian views. It will take place this Saturday, January 11 from 1pm on Cork’s Grand Parade.
Announcing the march in an Instagram post, the campaign group wrote: "Musicians shouldn't have gigs cancelled for expressing solidarity with Palestinians. Performers shouldn't lose income protesting apartheid and genocide.
“Illustrators shouldn't lose their lives for painting the truth. Arts venues shouldn't block fundraisers for Gaza.”

They explained that the opposite has been generally true in the past, and that “many arts and entertainment industries and institutions have excused US-Israeli crimes for too long
“In defiance,” they concluded, “from Gaza to Cork, artists are resisting the Zionist occupation through their work!”
The No Art For Apartheid march takes place this Saturday at 1pm.
