Presidential candidate Peter Casey has hit out at Ryan Tubridy, claiming that the TV star was "insulting", "patronising" and "unprofessional" in the handling of his appearance on the Late Late Show last Friday night.
Peter made his comments on Monday afternoon when he joined broadcaster Niall Boylan on Classic Hit 4FM to discuss the Late Late show interview.
Peter told presenter Niall that he believes he was set up and slammed RTE presenter Ryan Tubridy. “He was so unprofessional how he behaved and so patronising throughout," he said.
“It shocked me to be quite honest, I really felt that he was supposed to be impartial; he was supposed to be professional," said Peter Casey.
"I've no problem getting attacked by the audience. I'd people before telling me I should pull out because this had been a set-up."

Peter Casey told Niall that that Ryan’s interview style was “such a big contrast to the reasonable, very pleasant, friendly person in the green room”.
During his discussion with Niall Boylan, Peter also said that he plans to get a DNA test done on his return to Ireland to check his own ethnicity to see if he has any connection to the travelling community.
He said, “One of the things that I am going to do and you heard it here first, Niall, I am going to have a DNA test done when I get back from India and see exactly where my ethnic background.”
RTE refused to comment on Casey's claims.
