Team Hot Press sends much love to Sinéad O'Connor and one of her sons as they wait to be tested for Coronavirus. The singer announced the news a short time ago on her Twitter and will doubtless be giving fans updates.
On a happier note, Sinéad, who had to cut short a US tour this month because of the Covid-19 outbreak, has the rough demo of a new song, 'Horse On A Highway', streaming today on the Irish Sun website. As previously reported by Hot Press, she's been piecing together a new album with David Holmes, the Belfast DJ and producer who helped take Noel Gallagher in a dancier direction recently. In this case, though, Sinéad says she's going for a stripped-down approach redolent of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska.
