Saint Sister's debut album Shape of Silence was released in 2018, to wide critical acclaim, and 'Dynamite' brings word of a new album on the horizon.
The two women behind some of Ireland's most ethereal alt-pop have today released a brand new, self-produced song called 'Dynamite'.
Gemma Doherty and Morgan McIntyre have the kind of magical blood harmony typically only found in biological siblings – their voices have always paired perfectly, and 'Dynamite' is no exception. Blending elements of folk and pop, the track builds beautifully, their subtle harmonies carrying sparse instrumentation into swirling, full production.
'Dynamite', and the pair's last single, 'Is It Too Early (Kilmainham),' see them delve deeper into the electronic elements of production, morphing their sound without compromising the ethos of the band. "We really wanted to produce this album ourselves, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible creative forces of Rían Trench (recording engineer) and Benedikt MacIsaac (mixing engineer) who went over & above to make this with us," the duo wrote on Twitter.
You can watch the video's premiere on Youtube at 1pm, or listen on Spotify here.
