The US's First Lady-elect is threatening YouTube with a major lawsuit over a video on its site that claims her son Barron is autistic.
The lawsuit threat has come about after actress and TV personality Rosie O'Donnell shared a link on her Twitter feed to a video clip that claims that Trump's son Barron is autistic .
The Irish-American celebrity claimed: "Barron Trump Autistic? If so – what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic.”
The video clip of the 10-year-old boy taken during his father’s victory speech claims there are a number of signs that he's autistic, such as him clapping without slapping his hands together, and yawning and grimacing
The law firm representing Melania Trump confirmed last night that they’re planning to take action over the YouTube video.
"This law firm represents first lady-elect Melania Trump and her 10-year-old son, Barron Trump," attorney Charles Harder told The Hollywood Reporter. "A video was posted at YouTube recently speculating that Barron might be autistic. He is not.
“The video includes the hashtag 'StopTheBullying' – but yet the video itself is bullying by making false statements and speculation about a 10-year-old boy for the purpose of harassing him and his parents. The online bullying of children, including Barron Trump, should end now."
The next First Lady is understood to be considering legal action against Irish-American Rosie O’Donnell and is demanding that the video clip is taken down and that the person responsible for uploading it makes a formal apology to her.
