Charli Adams has released her latest single, ‘Get High w/ My Friends,’ and its accompanying lyric video ahead of the release of her debut album, Bullseye. The single is a sugary pop banger about doing drugs to escape from reality. The video captures Adams and her pet bunny Bodhi on a colourful trip.
This is the singer-songwriter's fourth release of 2021, following ‘Maybe Could Have Loved’ featuring Nightly, which dropped in January, ‘Cheer Captain’ which she shared in April, and ‘Headspace’ which featured Ruston Kelly and was released in May.
‘Get High w/ My Friends’ “is the lightest moment on an otherwise emotional record,” Adams said in a statement. Bullseye will be released on the 16th of July via Color Study and is currently available for pre-order.
The song, which was mixed by Patrick Dillet, was inspired by the singer’s love of getting high with her friends. “I like doing drugs in the kitchen with my friends. It’s one of my favourite pastimes and it kinda kept me going through a really difficult year,” she said.

The video is accompanied by a statement, however, that Adams does not advocate drug use. “I’m not encouraging escapism through drugs, it’s more about what helps you feel more present.”
