O'Connell Waterford was the place to be on Friday night as Culture Night took over the Déise City. In front of a huge crowd Waterford Music Society, Tramore Music Society, and Jack Cunningham Productions were on stage for an evening of music celebrating Waterford's identifying traits with “One Day More” which began with Classical Indian dance. This was only one of the main events taking place throughout the city on the night as music was also on offer at the Theatre Royal with Music Generation Waterford's 'Take Over Open Mic Acoustic Set' and the MGW Wind Band. St. Patrick’s Gateway 'Voices of Tomorrow Take 2'. The Apple Market saw the Life & Songs of Amy Winehouse with Ellen Quilty and Derek Flynn which was followed by Life & Songs of Abba and Fleetwood Mac with Paula Weldon, Laura Cardiff, and Derek Flynn. The Big Stage on Little Patrick Street Carpark had Flex Carter, and Chevy the Goodfella with the night being rounded off with the City of Waterford Brass, and Friends presented ‘Culture Night Late – 1920 – 2020’s Era’s Tour’.
