A sweet Instagram tribute was shared yesterday by David Bowie’s daughter on the seventh anniversary of his passing
Seven years ago, David Bowie passed away after a battle with cancer. Yesterday, his wife and daughter honoured him with loving tributes on social media to mark the aniversary.
22-year-old Alexandria 'Lexi' Zahra Jones, posted a home video on Tuesday, January 10th, in memory of the music icon. The video shows the father-daughter duo playing a keyboard together, and was captioned “7 years ago today. I miss you."
An additional photo of Bowie and a much younger Jones was also shared, showcasing their loving relationship.

David Bowie's wife, supermodel and entrepreneur Iman Abdulmajid, shared her own mementos honouring the memory of her husband on Twitter. "For a couple of moments in the immensity of time, we were one," she tweeted.
Abdulmajid actually posted over several days leading up to the anniversary, sharing several photos of Bowie tagged #EternalLove and #BowieForever. In her #imandaily post on the 10th, she stated "For the rest of my life I will search for moments full of you."
The legendary model has previously confirmed she has no plans to remarry after Bowie's death.

His passing occurred just days after his 69th birthday and the release of his final album, Blackstar. It remains a heavy burden on his loved ones and fans. Bowie had been diagnosed 18 months prior to his death, but chose to keep the diagnosis private.
David Bowie remains beloved seven years later. In a charismatic interview with Hot Press in 1999, it is clear to see why. In August 2022, Bowie was named #1 on Sky Arts' list of 50 influential UK artists.

Fans of the iconic rock star will also note that Aladdin Sane, his 1973 album, is soon to have a 50th anniversary edition reissue in April.
