Children of the Son, the rising young contenders from Wicklow, have just issued pre-release copies of their single ‘Do You Really Want Me?’. The upcoming single is the first product of the sessions that the band did in LA with producer Warren Huart, who is best known for his work with The Fray and Aerosmith. The single is set for release later in the summer.

Here at hotpress.com, we have secured the first ever public showing of the video for the single. A powerful performance video, it was shot in Charleville Castle by Graeme Wells of Flying Fish Creative Partners.

Built around the three brothers Max Matthews, Art Matthews and Jack Matthews, Children of the Son were nominated Newcomers of the Year in the Hot Press Annual, 2014. The band – who supported The Strypes successfully at the Academy in Dublin recently – have just been selected as the winners of the Arnott's Get The Look competition, run in association with Hot Press Annual. As winners, they play Arnott’s in Henry Street tomorrow evening, Wednesday May 7, with door opening at 7.30pm sharp.
