Who needs a brass section when you've got a kazoo?
It's time for our weekly check-in with Limrockers Fox Jaw whose Covid Cover #4 is a cracking version of Amy Winehouse's Back To Black standout (there was so many), 'You Know I'm No Good'.
"Replace the brass section with a Kazoo?" they say of the upgrades they've made. "Sure why not, it's what Amy would have wanted."
Recorded in their self-isolated cubby holes around Ireland, it works an absolute treat.
If that's got you in a Winehouse-ian mood, here are a couple of essential long-reads. First, she tells us about first kisses, perfect romantic days and hanging with hip hop aristocracy in a classic 2007 interview, and then her friend and original manager, Nick Shymansky, separates Amy fact from fiction.
