The voice of Gavin James reigned supreme amidst a downpour at Live at the Marquee on Saturday night. Fans flooded to the Leeside Marina as the Dubliner opened the first weekend of the Festival giving the audience a summer feel as the weather wasn't so kind. It was a three-star show on the night and lucky early arrivals were treated to a storming performance by 'Man Alive' aka Mark Prendergast of Kodaline fame got the night underway. Mark finished his set with Kodaline's 'All I Want' and to the amazement of the crowd was joined on stage by star attraction Gavin James. The two sang to wild cheers from the fans. The evening went up a notch when Kildare's Lea Heart and her band came on stage. The young artist who has toured the UK and Europe with Picture This has an immense voice and the stage presence to back it up. By 9 pm it was time for the main man and James didn't disappoint as he put on a spectacular performance that drowned out the sound of the rainfall on the other side of the BIG TOP.
