Natalie Prass was a late but great addition to our parade of stars at the Hot Press Chatroom at this year’s Electric Picnic – so late that even our cameraman was caught off guard!
Of course, it wasn’t the Virginia-born singer-songwriter’s first trip to Stradbally; previously, she had played the festival as part of Jenny Lewis’ touring band. She discusses the learning curve that provided, as well as clearing up just what was the story about her and Matthew E. White crossing paths in Eighth Grade.
There’s also discussion of the immense honesty of her eponymous debut album, the occasion when a cancelled flight forced Ryan Adams to don a dress to give the crowd what they want, and her utter confusion at playing on a bill that includes Bitch Falcon and Meltybrains?
